The Warabi Omakase Dining Experience

A contemporary Japanese dining experience, Warabi emphasises seasonal ingredients and masterful techniques, alongside elevated beverage pairings in an omakase setting.
 
The multi-course menu changes seasonally, taking inspiration from the seasons and using only the highest quality ingredients. Our head chef will guide through a casual yet refined dining experience, channeling 'kappo' which directly translates to ‘cut and cook' and celebrates the chefs' craftsmanship and precise preparation techniques.
 

THE MENU

  • Tue - Thu: Our 13 course mid-week sushi omakase, featuring our signature Unagi and accompanied by a decadent dessert to finish for $185 per person.
  • Fri - Sat: Our 14 course 'Impression' menu featuring only the best seasonal ingredients and taking inspiration from traditional cooking styles for $285 per person

 

DINNER SEATINGS: 

•    Chef Counter seating is available every Tue - Thu evening at 6:00pm and 8:30pm.
•    Table seating is available every Fri - Sat at 6:30pm or 7:00pm.

 

Due to the nature of the omakase menu, we are unable to cater for vegeterians, vegans, or those unable to eat raw fish, shellfish, or rice. For any other dietary restrictions, a minimum of 48 hours notice is required.

The Warabi dining experience is suitable for guests aged 12 years and older.

BEVERAGE PAIRING 
In Japan there is a saying ‘Nihonshu wa ryori wo erabanai' which loosely translates that sake does not clash with food. We have curated a beverage list that sits in harmony with the Warabi nine-course menu, taking you on a journey across your dinner, which reflects the spirit of this ceremonial style of Japanese cuisine.  

Our list of sake, beer, cocktails, wine and spirits takes inspiration from the distinct change of seasons in Melbourne and Japan, during which nature produces a vibrant array of colours and contrasts.

To further extend your Warabi experience we have curated beverage pairing menus, which change with the menu as the it does the seasons. 

The Naturalist - is an exploration of non-alcoholic beverages and cocktails - $68 per person

The Realist - Offer diners a curated selection of sake and wine - $120 per person. 

The Expressionist - Elevates the pairing across a premium range of sake and wine - $190 per person. 

AHEAD OF YOUR ARRIVAL

We'd like to inform you that all reservations are allocated a two-hour dining window, and there is a 15-minute grace period to hold the table. If arriving after the grace period, a reduced menu will be provided however the price per person will remain the same. The door will open 15 minutes prior to your reservation time, and food will be served from the commencement of the sitting time. 

CANCELLING YOUR RESERVATION

We require a minimum of 24hours notice for any cancellation, reduction in diners or change of dates. Thereafter, the full cost of the food menu will be charged per guest.
